Improving Beginners fiddle class
Term starts: Thursday 8th April
Term ends: Thursday 27th May
Time: 8 – 9.15pm
Cost: £65 for 8 weeks
Our fiddle class will continue online for the 2021 summer term. In the classes we’ll focus on troubleshooting, looking at specific techniques, learning more about bow control, reading music, and different tune types and rhythms. We’ll also have plenty of fun while we pick up some more fiddle basics.
The class is a continuation of the absolute beginner’s class which started in January 2019. It’s suitable for anyone who can pick up tunes on their own by ear. You’ll need your own instrument to attend. There’s no need to be able to read music to join Fun Fiddle classes. See a short summary of the things the Improving Beginners class has covered in previous terms
Recordings of any new tunes will generally be sent out in advance of classes for individuals to learn at home. Participants may be asked to play on their own on occasion during classes.
If you’re unsure if you’re at a level to be able to join this class, or would like a refresher before joining, it may be possible to take some individual online lessons before the classes start. Contact me for more information.
If you want to know more about what we will be doing in this class, and whether it will be suitable for you, contact me, and I’ll do my best to answer any questions.
