Improving Beginners fiddle class
Term starts: Thursday 14th January
Mid-term break: Thursday 11th Feb
Term ends: Thursday 25th March
Time: 8 – 9.15pm

Our fiddle class will continue online for the whole of the 2020 autumn term.
You’ll need your own instrument to attend these classes. There’s no need to be able to read music to join Fun Fiddle classes. See a short summary of the things the Improving Beginners class has covered in previous years
The improving beginners class is a continuation of the absolute beginner’s class which started in January 2019. The class is suitable for anyone who has already been learning for a couple of years and can pick up simple tunes on their own by ear.
Recordings of any new tunes will generally be sent out in advance of classes for individuals to learn at home. In the classes we’ll focus on troubleshooting, looking at specific techniques, learning more about reading music, and different tune types and rhythms. We’ll also have plenty of fun while we pick up some more fiddle basics. Participants may be asked to play on their own on occasion during classes.
If you’re unsure if you’re at a level to be able to join this class, or would like a refresher before joining, it may be possible to take some individual online lessons before the classes start. Contact me for more information.
If you want to know more about what we will be doing in this class, and whether it will be suitable for you, contact me, and I’ll do my best to answer any questions.
